The beloved Nickelodeon series may have come to an end, but the adventure lives on with the Legend of Korra video game. C4 Media teamed with game developer PlatinumGames and Activision to create a series of behind-the-scenes spots showcasing the process that the game’s talented cast and crew took in bringing this beloved fantasy world onto a whole new platform.

We shot and edited interviews with some of Korra’s key players, and also captured moments inside the recording studio where the actors laid down the game’s dialogue and sounds. C4 Media also created motion graphics and the game’s trailer as well as the BTS spots.

LEGEND OF KORRA – TITMOUSE ANIMATION STUDIO

Nickelodeon and Activision hired C4 Media to create a behind-the-scenes video about the making of The Legend of Korra Video Game.

C4 Media brought a film crew to Titmouse Studios and filmed a mini documentary about this amazing series and upcoming video game. The Show creators, game designers and studio heads all sat down with C4 Media field producers for a conversation about the award-winning series and what it takes to bring such a story to life in a video game format.

The C4 camera and lighting designers were successful in capturing the mood at the studio and the many themed conversations were lively and informative. Everyone involved in this collaborative project was enthusiastic and C4 was proud to be part of it.

C4 brings you exclusive footage behind the scenes of making the Legend of Korra video game, including clips of the voice actors in the sound studio, their perspectives on the game and it’s creation process, and of course, a sneak peak of the game’s visually stimulating graphics. As Janet Varney, voice of Korra, states, the power of video games like this give viewers the opportunity to become part of the world they watch and love. This showcase of the exciting ‘Legend of Korra’ video game experience is yet another mission accomplished for C4 Media.

LEGEND OF KORRA – PLATINUMGAMES

Activision, Nickelodeon and Platnium Games teamed up to create an incredible video game based on The Legend of Korra series. Activision hired C4 Media to interview the lead producer from Platinum Games, Atsushi Kurooka. C4 Media flew a crew to San Francisco to meet up with him.

The C4 Media field production team arrived on site with specific interview questions and at every shoot; the C4 Media team always has the post- production process in mind. That’s why our client gets more useable content. C4’s seasoned field producers are adept at following the natural progression of conversation in case a new storyline appears while still getting the original questions covered.

This project had a unique challenge since Atsushi only spoke Japanese and C4’s field producer only spoke English. She asked questions in English to a translator who then posed the questions to Atsushi. Back in Los Angeles, C4 Media hired a translator to pour over every word of dialogue for accuracy. The end result was great. When a gamer turned on X-Box Live, the first thing they saw was the Atsushi Kurooka interview!

Mission accomplished for Activision and Platinum Games. C4 Media delivers again out in the field!
